Muchos adultos mayores Comcaac, por su avanzada edad o condiciones de salud preexistentes, sufren de diabetes e hipertensi\u00f3n.

\nDebido a lo geogr\u00e1ficamente distanciada que se encuentran las tierras de la tribu, no todos los medicamentos que se necesitan ingresan a la comunidad.

\nAdem\u00e1s, el dispensario del pueblo no est\u00e1 abastecido con, al menos, las medicinas b\u00e1sicas ni, mucho menos, las dirigidas a los adultos mayores.\nLa tribu Comcaac necesita no solo donativos y suministro de medicamentos, sino tambi\u00e9n atenci\u00f3n en salud, con la asistencia de m\u00e9dicos en esta plaza.

\nEsta es una de las problem\u00e1ticas principales que impulsan nuestro trabajo.

\nNuestra intenci\u00f3n es reunir medicamentos y brindarle una mejor calidad de vida a quienes m\u00e1s lo necesitan, quienes han dado todo por esta tierra, nuestros adultos mayores. Ellos son la base, los guardianes de la cultura Comcaac, y nos necesitan.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Unas 290 familias en Punta Chueca, Sonora, padecen fallas en el suministro de agua potable.

\nEsto ocurre cuando falla la \u00fanica planta desalinizadora que surte a la comunidad.

\nPuede demorar varios d\u00edas la reparaci\u00f3n de esta planta y otros m\u00e1s para reanudar el servicio. Por eso, este pueblo necesita ayuda.

\nA pesar de la ausencia de agua potable, decenas de familias Comcaac deben enfrentar las altas temperaturas propias de esta tierra des\u00e9rtica.

Necesitan agua para asear sus hogares, cocinar e hidratarse.

\nAunque el Mar de Cort\u00e9s ba\u00f1e las costas de Punta Chueca, se trata de agua salada que la tribu poco puede aprovechar.

\nEsta es otra de las problem\u00e1ticas que los Comcaac deben enfrentar; una situaci\u00f3n que se agrava durante la \u00e9poca de sequ\u00eda.\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Las tierras ind\u00edgenas guardan m\u00e1s del 80 % de la biodiversidad el planeta. Pero hoy se ven amenazadas por la producci\u00f3n de grandes cantidades de basura y por la falta de un \u00f3ptimo servicio de recolecci\u00f3n y manejo de los desechos, que inevitablemente se acumulan, y que van a parar no solo a tierras sagradas, sino tambi\u00e9n al mar.

\nAl d\u00eda se producen aproximadamente 1.16 kilogramos de basura por persona solo en M\u00e9xico, pa\u00eds que encabeza la lista de producci\u00f3n de residuos s\u00f3lidos en Latinoam\u00e9rica.

\nEn Sonora, muchos de esos desperdicios llegan al Mar de Cort\u00e9s, donde habitan cientos de especies marinas que sufren las consecuencias de la contaminaci\u00f3n.

\nLa concentraci\u00f3n de basura en Punta Chueca y Desemboque perjudica adem\u00e1s no solo a las especies marinas y terrestres, sino a los seres humanos que all\u00ed residen, los Comcaac, al menos 1.300 personas, entre ni\u00f1os, j\u00f3venes y ancianos.

Tiburon Island (Tahej\u00f6c) <\/div>
Tiburon Island is the world's aquifer. It was declared a biosphere reserve in 1963 and a National Protected Area for environmental service. It is a refuge for migratory birds and has 31 species of cetaceans, such as the bottlenose dolphin and the sperm whale, which represent 37% of the species known worldwide.

\nThis is the largest island in the Gulf of California and the largest island in Mexico, with an area of 1,201 square kilometers.

\nThe island is uninhabited, but members of the Comcaac tribe guard the island and accompany tourists who want to enjoy its magical landscapes. Only members of the Comcaac tribe can make use of the natural resources of this island.

\nThe thick mangroves of this island function as nurseries for marine organisms, such as crabs and fish, in their early stages of development.\nThe island is home to 39 species of reptiles and amphibians. Ten of them are endemic. Sailfish, marlin, and swordfish can be found in its waters.\nIt is one of the most beautiful islands in Mexico and the whole world.\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

A\u00f1o Nuevo Comcaac<\/div>
Durante la primera luna de verano, el 30 de junio y 1 de julio de cada a\u00f1o, la tribu Comcaac celebra el A\u00f1o Nuevo. \nEs tiempo del renacimiento de todo lo que provee y forma parte de su sagrada tierra. Es un tributo a la renovaci\u00f3n, a la naturaleza, a la vida misma.

\nEntre cantos especiales, danzas, comida y bebida t\u00edpica como el vino sagrado de Pitahaya, las mujeres pintan sus mejillas y preparan la celebraci\u00f3n, mientras los hombres cazan a la Caguama, una tortuga marina sagrada para esta cultura y cuya carne pueden comer solo por este d\u00eda.

\nDurante la fiesta agradecen por todo lo recibido, piden abundancia y se ba\u00f1an en el Mar de Cort\u00e9s, bajo la luz de las estrellas. Es el A\u00f1o Nuevo Comcaac, dos d\u00edas de celebraci\u00f3n, cientos de a\u00f1os de tradici\u00f3n y una enorme riqueza cultural.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Festival Xepe an C\u00f6icoos <\/div>
El Xepe an C\u00f6icoos es un festival que celebra el arte, la cultura Comcaac, y las \u201cm\u00fasicas del mundo\u201d.

\nResalta los ritmos tradicionales de la tribu, as\u00ed como el rock cantado en lengua Comcaac para despertar en los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes el arraigo por sus ra\u00edces.

\nLa banda de Rock Seri Hamac Caziim (Fuego Divino) es la encargada de organizar este festival cada a\u00f1o, al iniciar la primavera, en Punta Chueca.

Durante los d\u00edas de fiesta, las mujeres venden su artesan\u00eda para el sustento de su familia y para reforzar la cultura Comcaac. Este colorido festival se realiza con la colaboraci\u00f3n de artistas, acad\u00e9micos y voluntarios de todo M\u00e9xico y el extranjero.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Fiesta de la Gran Canasta (Saaptim)<\/div>
Puede tomar entre dos, tres y hasta cinco a\u00f1os tejer una cesta grande o Saaptim. Su funci\u00f3n es proteger a quien la elabora y su familia. Durante todo ese tiempo, la artesana debe evitar que la aguja rechine, pues es signo de maldici\u00f3n. Si la aguja rechina a mitad del trabajo, debe hacer una fiesta, y no tocar la canasta hasta el cuarto d\u00eda, para evitar malos augurios.

\nLa fiesta de la canasta grande o Saaptim se celebra para finalizar su elaboraci\u00f3n. Durante cuatro d\u00edas, la tribu festeja con danzas y juegos tradicionales. La canasta puede medir 1.55 de altura y 1.30 de di\u00e1metro. Cuando la artesana termina la \u00faltima espiral, el esp\u00edritu maligno se marcha y regresa la buena suerte al hogar. Es una pieza de gran valor artesanal. Es el centro de la Fiesta de la Canasta Grande, de la hermosa cultura comcaac y de la gran cultura mexicana.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Fiesta de la Caguama 7 Filos<\/div>
Si un pescador captura por accidente una caguama de siete filos, la comunidad Comcaac hace una fiesta que dura cuatro d\u00edas. Este animal es sagrado porque se cree que una ni\u00f1a que trascendi\u00f3 antes de tener su fiesta de pubertad reencarn\u00f3 en una caguama. As\u00ed lo supo su familia en una visi\u00f3n.

\nComo parte de la tradici\u00f3n, una ni\u00f1a a la que no se le har\u00e1 fiesta de pubertad, acompa\u00f1a a la caguama durante la fiesta para simbolizar esa transici\u00f3n. Los artesanos elaboran caguamas, hechas de coral negro. Al finalizar la fiesta, la tribu libera a la tortuga en el mar.
